Meet the Artist

Hi! I'm Taylor and I've been working with clay since 2014 when I took my first ceramics class in college. I went on to earn my BFA in Ceramics at Tyler School of Art/Temple University in 2018. Born and raised in South Jersey, but I am a new Washington transplant!
All pieces are handmade with clay and are either thrown on the pottery wheel or hand built. Each piece starts as a ball of clay and is created and fired in my home studio in the beautiful state of Washington.
I love to bring a painterly quality to my objects while keeping the function of the piece in mind. Each object acts as a functional painting that you can hold in your hands and use every day.
My biggest inspirations are currently the mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest area. Other aspects of nature and fictional worlds often make their way into my work as well.
When I'm not in my studio you can find me reading a fantasy romance series, hiking in whatever mountains I can get to, or playing my Switch with my cat Oliver snoozing in my lap!
